DVD-ROM Drive
With a storage capacity of 8.5 GB the DVD has approximately 12x higher memory capability compared to the CD. Due to this, all available European street data is on the DVD; in addition there is also extensive travel guide information, including picture material, available.
C-IQ Intelligent Content on Demand
The driver has the possibility of choosing range and period of the used
data freely. The latest DVD is sent to the customer regularly free of
charge and he has to pay only for the real used data. For example:
Germany including Varta-Travel guide for one year, to plan a vacation
Italy for 3 weeks and Austria for 2 days.
Dynamic Navigation (TMC)
The system is prepared for process traffic information, which are
provided through an optional RDS-TMC receiver (RDS Traffic Message
Channel). These traffic information are evaluated and included in the
route calculation. The delta (travel time, distance) for the current route
is shown and the driver can decide whether he wants to drive this new
route or not.
HTML Browser
The guide-information are built-up according to the known Internetstandard.
This allows a simple and clear order of the extensive data
material. From the input of search criteria up to the selection of
pictures and detailed information there are set nearly no limits.
Extensive Destination Input Possibilities
Through the great number of input possibilities virtually every destination
can be found. The destination input is supported by the 'Intelligent
Typewriter'. Only the alphabetic characters which are really needed will
be presented automatically. |

Route & Sound
No need to connect a CD changer, if you want to listen to Audio CDs while navigating. Route & Sound enables you an easy switch between radio and CD sound while being guided in a perfect manner via voice and pictogram to your destination.
Integrated Dynamic Navigation via TMC incl. Individual Adaptation
The system has an integrated RDS-TMC receiver (Traffic Message Channel) to handle traffic congestions and bypass them. This information is evaluated and included in the route calculation. The delta (travel time, distance) for the current route is shown and the driver can decide whether he would like to drive this new route or not. Additionally he can change the settings in a menu.
Travel Info Browser
The guide-information is shown in an easy and understandable format. After the entry of search criteria (e. g. number of Hotel stars, price range and search area) a list of results is being shown out of which the customer chooses his result.
